Who was the youngest British Monarch?

The only child of King Henry V, little Henry VI ascended to the throne at just 8 months and 25 days old making him the youngest king in British history. But this still isn’t young enough to claim the top spot, at just 6 days old, Mary Queen of Scots was the youngest queen and monarch in history to ascend to the throne.

And as for the oldest? William IV finally claimed the throne at the ripe old age of 64 years 309 days, spending just seven years as king. However, we’re well on the way to topping that record, if the current Prince of Wales was to become king today he would set the record at 65 years of age.
