To commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, as well as to celebrate History of War issue 17‘s extended feature on the battle, you could be in with a chance of winning a set of limited edition, mint condition commemorative stamps.

Commemorate the 200th anniversary of Waterloo in issue 19 of History of War

History of War issue 17, on sale now, is packed with an extended 18-page feature on the battle. Inside you’ll find exclusive interviews with historians of the battle, including TV’s Dan and Peter Snow, as well as stunning artefacts from the battlefield and blow-by-blow analysis of the tactics that won the day.

In collaboration with Waterloo 200, the Isle of Man Post Office has produced a beautiful collection of stamps and an accompanying luxury album in honour of the 200th anniversary. These limited edition stamps feature some of the most famous scenes from the battle, each depicted by among the finest military artists. Included is the clash at La Haye Sainte, the  bitter struggle for Hougoumont, and the defiant last stand of the Old Guard.

The winner of the first prize will receive the commemorative folder, containing a mint condition Sheet Set, £1 stamp to commemorate the start of Napoléon’s Hundred Days Campaign and Battle of Waterloo timeline. The lucky winner and runner up will also receive the Battle of Waterloo 200th Anniversary First Day Cover, and the Anniversary Presentation Pack.
