Win an exclusive set of commemorative WWI stamps courtesy of Jersey Post

The Great War of 1914-1918 embroiled countries across the globe and counted more combatants than any war before or since, of which over 37 million became casualties. Many of the conflict’s most devastating battles, fought in the fields and towns of Northern France and Belgium, the deserts of the Middle East and the wild expanse of the North Sea, have become synonymous with the massive and futile loss of life. 2016 has already marked the centenaries of the evacuation from Gallipoli, the Battle of Jutland, and the First Day of the Battle of the Somme – each one bringing extra poignancy to the annual acts of remembrance for the sacrifice and loss of life.

Continuing with this year’s centenary commemorations, Jersey Post is releasing the third of its five-part series of exclusive collectable stamps: The Great War – 100 Years, Part Three: Battles. Each one of the six stamps in this collection beautifully illustrates a battlefield that has left its own indelible mark on the world, including First Battle of Ypres, Gallipoli, the Battle of Jutland, the Somme Offensive, the Battle of Aqaba and Passchendaele.

WIN: Simply answer the question below correctly for your chance to win the stamps and Miniature Sheet Presentation Packs from Jersey Post’s new stamp issue: The Great War – 100 Years, Part Three: Battles. In addition, each prize will include the stamps and Miniature Sheet Presentation Packs from the first two issues in this five part series: Participation and Change. Each prize is worth a total £23.56 and five winners will be selected at random from correct answers.
